Principal’s Message

Internationally, New Zealand is seen as an inspirational vanguard in the world of natural healing, and recognised globally as having some of the world’s most respected natural healers, most innovative natural health manufacturers and a unique physical landscape and culture that embraces mind/body thinking; free from the strictures of much of the rest of the world.

Even 10 years ago, New Zealand studies showed 74% of households used natural health products – and that was long before the new millennium boom in all things green, natural and chemical free.

New Zealand is an ‘Eden-like’ country with spectacular landscapes; vast mountain ranges, steaming volcanoes, sweeping coastlines, deeply indented fiords and lush rainforests. These landscapes are so special they have been internationally recognised by UNESCO as irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. More than ten percent of New Zealand carries World Heritage status.

There are no genetically modified (GM) crops or other products in New Zealand for commercial production.

New Zealand is a nuclear-free zone, this is not symbolic but enshrined in the nation’s legislation. New Zealand was the first Western-allied nation to legislate towards a nuclear free zone, effectively renouncing the nuclear deterrent.

New Zealand is the youngest country on earth – the last major landmass to be discovered. It has a rich and fascinating history, reflecting both our Maori and European heritage. Comparable in size to Great Britain, Colorado or Japan, New Zealand has a population of only 4 million – making it one of the world’s least crowded countries.

Though a diverse and multicultural people, there are many qualities, including friendliness, individuality, invention and self-reliance that you will find in most New Zealanders.

Studying in New Zealand gave me the experience and opportunities that led me to my dream job. It taught me valuable life lessons such as being open-minded.
