Summer study activities for International Students 2020

From Education New Zealand for International students –  Nov 2020

Encouraging international students to stay in New Zealand over the summer is currently one of the focuses of Education New Zealand. ENZ has been doing this by supporting the work already underway by providers and Regional Development Agencies, highlighting the activities and opportunities available to international students over the summer, including hosting the recent
Your Great Kiwi Summer virtual fair.

As part of this work and through a growing relationship with LinkedIn, ENZ has secured a number of licences for LinkedIn Learning and would like to offer them to your students over the summer period free of charge. ENZ see this as an opportunity for students to build their employability skills and continue preparing for their future.

What is LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that offers over 16,400+ courses across seven languages with both micro and in-depth learning.  Courses include leadership and management, technology and software engineering, business software and much more

The Benefits

The courses and micro learning will complement the courses and study options by providing an additional layer of study for students over the summer period, helping students to prepare for the next stage of their academic journey and future career.

How to get a licence

The licences are valid from 1 December 2020 until 28 February 2021. ENZ has asked that we ensure our students are aware of this offer

Students can register:
http://go.studyinnewzealand.govt.nz/LinkedIn-Learning-Register-Interest.html.

Upon registering your interest, LinkedIn will be in contact directly with the student about how to activate their licence.

What else is happening over the summer for International Students?
Along with offering the LinkedIn Learning licences, ENZ is also running a series of InstaLive.

This series started on Wednesday 25 November and focuses on the Health and Wellbeing of international students over summer. Students and a health professional will share advice and insights on how to stay well, healthy and connected over summer. There will also be other sessions all of which you can find the details of through ENZ website.
